Name:
Luc Du Lac
Age:
18
Parents:
Lancelot Du Lac and Elaine of Carbonec
Personality:
If you ask anyone in authority, Luc is an unruly, disobedient and sullen youth with a penchant for skipping lessons to smoke behind the bike sheds. It isn't that he has any particular hatred for the world, he just chafes against restrictions and rules, and authority has generally earned itself his ire - guilty until proven innocent. For those his own age the picture is a little different. He's quiet at first, but once you get to know him, he's kind and sweet and incredibly loyal to his friends, and though he can be quick-witted and sarcastic, it's only ever meant in jest. He has the 'bad boy' thing down, and it often makes girls follow him around, gaining him quite the reputation - a reputation he never bothers to deny, or confirm, when asked about it.
With the girls themselves he's never anything but unfaultingly polite, and calmly resists any moves made on him, though there are plenty of girls claiming they have been the one to kiss or sleep with him. The more you get to know him, the more his bad boy image falls apart. He attends church every Sunday, is quite passionate about his faith if questioned, and he's a vegetarian. For some people, these revelations are a disappointment.
Appearance: Dark and mysterious is the best way to describe Luc. He keeps his hair artfully scruffy and tends to hang around in ripped jeans and leather jackets, drives around on a motorcycle and is often found leaning against walls with a cigarette in hand. He's essentially the epitome of bad boy cool, a little bit 1960s greaser, a little bit 90s teenage boy band member - which is to say, he's the kind of bad boy cool that's a little smoother around the edges. While he's usually a bit scruffy, he's always clean and at least semi-presentable.
His expression is often serious, smiles are rare but genuine, and okay he's got a bit of a brooding expression. To be honest, he's just a teen movie cliche to look at.
e
History: Luc is the second child of Lancelot Du Lac and Elaine of Carbonec, and he seems to take the middle child syndrome to heart. He had a lot of pressure being the first born male, and considering how different his parents ideas were, it was no wonder he turned out a bit strange.
He grew to resent both his parents, his mother for her strict attitudes and ridiculous ideas, and his father for constantly disappearing off to Camelot and courtly life, finding it far more interesting than his children, or at least that was how Luc saw it.
His elder sister Annabelle was a quiet, intellectual girl who was often happiest alone with her books, and his younger brother Galahad was more than a little strange, so there wasn't really anybody to keep Luc company and reign him in as his teenage tearaway years set in, it became almost instinctual to disobey anyone in authority and he broke rules left, right and centre.
When the chance to go to Avalon came along, he was out of there, even though his siblings didn't want to come with him, he was just glad to be away from home and free from under his mother's tyrannical reign.
