it's obvious something is planned.
First of all, I'm planning something very meticulously done, as you all may see. I plan on joining this site. Currently, I've been testing out RP forums, trying to seek one that catches my fancy. I can proudly say that this one does.
And already, I'm planning a character!
Since I've always had an interest in Greco-Roman Mythology, I believe I will start from there, if you don't mind. The goddess that intrigues me the most would be Athena. I'm honestly not all that wise, but I will do my best to get in character since I've always enjoyed challenging myself and plus, I believe I have an interesting enough backstory and personality for her. Of course, you already know she's Athena.
I have no clue what her playby could be, though I want her to look athletic, tanned with dark hair and gray eyes. I also want her pass off as someone in her late twenties to early thirties, perhaps? I already know she will wear a toga or some kind of Greek/Roman clothing, if not in body armor.
In the meanwhile, I would like to see a general opinion on the bio and personality, and see if it would pass on a character app. I want to know whether it would be best for her to have worked here for a while or be a new teacher.
I'm planning for her backstory to be something alongside the lines of this:
As for her personality, that won't be quite long, and she always has room to improve as a character.
Thank you for whatever help you do provide.

I'm planning for her backstory to be something alongside the lines of this:
With an entire city named after her, which was in a Golden Age starting from 500 BC, Athena was the patroness of a rich center of culture and commerce. Enjoying and excelling in philosophy and politics, which pretty much dominated the city's life as well as her own. Currently, Athena teaches at Tintagel Academy, becaus she finds it suiting to her nature, and despite how antisocial she is normally, teaching children is a breeze when you have a passion for what you do actually teaches. However, she's just gotten started, and she has absolutely no clue what's going on aside from the fact there is a war. She might want to know a bit more about that.
Athena was born of the Titaness Metis, of Thought, and Lord Zeus, king of the gods. Before Zeus even married Hera, he had a wife offered to him by Oceanus, the Titan of the Ocean. Metis was Oceanus's first daughter and Zeus proudly accepted her as his consort. However, one day, the Fates or the moirae: Clothos, Lachesis, and Decima, came to him and stated that the child Metis bears for him will be wiser and more powerful than him. Naturally, like the paranoid man he is, Zeus panicked and struggled to think of a plan.
The lord of the sky earnestly went to Prometheus, the kind Titan of Humanity and Crafty Counsel, for help. Prometheus suggested that Zeus somehow hinder Metis and make her unable to birth any children. The god of lightning was a smart man, and he quickly caught on. Soon, his plan went into action. he called out to Metis and complimented her for her wisdom, beauty, and particularly for her ability to shapeshift. Metis easily swooned because of his fawning. However, he stated that although she could transform into a mighty lioness, she could not turn into a mere fly! With an overbearing amount of hubris, Metis flushed red in anger and promptly morphed into the very fly he mentioned. Zeus triumphantly smiled and ate the fly.
Sometime later, Prometheus and Zeus were together when Zeus cried out that his head hurt horribly. The agony was too much to bear and Prometheus laid the god on the bed. With another cry of pure anguish, the god's face contorted as his head and skull split in half. There, Athena was born, shining with the beauty and wisdom that Metis had, as well as the grace and majesty of her dear father, who in turn, favored her the most out of all of his children. She chose to not be wiser or more powerful than her father-instead, she pursued high status in her ability to weave and do other crafts, philosophy, and assisting heroic endeavor.
Athena had played a role in Perseus's conquering of the gorgons (which she had played an early role in creating). She and another god had helped him gain the tools needed for his successful journey. In fact, she was responsible for Medusa's transformation, however. The fool Poseidon raped Medusa (her own priestess by the way), and so she did it out of wanting to preserve her honor. Athena got over this a very long time ago though; after all, she won the patronage to Athens against Barnacle Breath. Also, she finally got to show her obsession for olives, which she displays very proudly nowadays. Later on, during the Trojan war, she found delight in the intellectual king of Ithaca, Odysseus. She helped him out on almost all of his perilous journeys. Of course, this was the first time she even had a crush. Still, not even once, had she kissed or made love. It was proven, by this, though, that she could fall in love. Another story about Athena is how she can get so jealous. If there is one thing that could make her lose her sanity and methodical way of thinking, it's envy. Poor Arachne. She bragged though, so she kind of deserved being turned into a spider.
How she got her name is an interesting story. She had a best friend named Pallas, who was a daughter of Triton. Once, they sparred wonderfully and frequently, but in all ways, in good sport. However, Zeus, doting upon Athena, was unwilling to let Pallas win one match, and therefore, stunned her. Athena seized the chance to give the finishing blow with all her might, but accidentally killed Pallas. As a result, Athena grieved for a long, long time and took on her best friend's name as her own.
Now that it's modern times, she enjoys giving lectures at military institutes and teaching philosophy. She still enjoys old-fashioned weaving, so whatever. Also, she has taken a liking to the internet, because she could find so many scholarly articles and encyclopedias on it, which she does her best to add to. However, she has developed "illogical pleasure" in Homestuck, and certain anime and manga, as long as they have complex, interesting, and philosophical themes that concern the controversial.
As for her personality, that won't be quite long, and she always has room to improve as a character.
Athena is a very quiet person when she wishes to be, but she often has ideas she will never, ever back off of sharing unless she believes it is wise to do so. Athena enjoys taking the safe road, and never taking risks, despite being very helpful when it comes to war. Sometimes, she can be very impulsive, and even appear stupid at times. However, when she wants to be, she can be clever, and she will think of ingenious, new ways to do things.
Even though she hates unecessary fighting, she enjoys wearing her full body armor in public and while teaching, though sometimes, she wears a toga or a palla, stola and tunic when formal. This is so she can come off as intimidating, and this armor isn't just for show, she is an excellent battle strategist, though her interest in war quickly deteriorates after she is into it. Nothing seems to catch her interest for too long, anyway, unless if it's a life long passion like philosophy or poltics or weaving.
Athena doesn't like small talk or any informal social interaction. Often at times, she finds whatever she believes to be a quiet little place where she can be as solitary as can be. She enjoys the solitude, though she wishes that she has a friend or two, and believe me, she has an extremely hard time when it comes to that. She wonders how she became a teacher. Sometimes, talking with the students can be hard, especially when they are disobedient, but she thinks it's worth it.
Athena isn't as wise as she believes herself to be - she has a fairly large ego and is way too confident in her abilities. However, this does not prevent her from making friends or appreciating others for who they are. Her hubris is subtle; Most of the time she doesn't show it. However, it is in reality a fake outer shell she created ever since Pallas died, and secretly, she believes she is a failure and wants to do her best to improve herself. The long-winding, complicated speech full of jargon is meant to reveal her fake outer shell, so no one will see what's behind that either - a coward afraid of failure. Not only that, she has barely any life and social skills.
