It wasn’t the kind of place she would normally frequent, in fact it was very far from the kind of place that she would normally frequent but for the nature of this meeting it was perfect. It was filled with the scum of humanity, each of them lost in their own tangled web of deception, crime, hating, vengence, loathing and anything else the villainous society got up to take note of just another member of the cult. She got in easy enough, her credentials and past history good enough to even get her up to the VIP lounge, set aside for only the highest class of them all.
Even did not consider herself a villain, just a woman who would stop at nothing to get what she wants. No one ever thought of themselves as a villain though, did they? Just someone who wanted more, someone who enjoyed doing bad things, was that so wrong to do something that you love? Yes the definition of a villain was a grey area and whilst they boasted of their exploits in the underworld, they knew what they were doing was right.
Drifting past the bouncer she then made her way through the throng of bodies dancing to the heavy music and drinking the strangely coloured drinks. These were the thugs, the harpies, the floozies, the petty thieves, the lackeys, and she did her best not to allow any of them to jostle her, or step on her golden dress. Most of them got the picture when she sent one of the careening into the side of the bar with a flick of her hand. Amatures.
She walked up the stairs to the VIP balcony, knowing that she was somewhat late for the meeting, a meeting she had arranged.
He was her biggest competition in the area, other than the princes and heroes who were out for her blood, and she believed it would be much better to have the Lord of Chaos on her side. How she was going to do that, she had only still vaguely planned. She headed towards the table, specially reserved for them and said, “My Lord, so glad you could make our little meeting. I am Lady Evangeline Royesse…but you can call me Eve.”
