"Okay, that couldn't have been it," murmured Lilo. she turned, feeling her hat bob when she did so (the hat looked like the mad scientist's version of a stocking cap, in that it was essentially seven stocking caps sown together around the head, creating something that wanted to be an octopus, a jester's crown, or a stocking cap, but had to settle for being a crime against creation). "That doesn't make any sense. Like, no sense at all."
She pursed her lips, tapping her fingers against it. You know something was outrageous when Lilo Pelekai suggested that it didn't make sense. This was the girl who believed in conspiracies everywhere...
"Ah, that's it! Thank you hat!" said Lilo, patting the hat, which may or may not grant Lilo the power to understand narration (more on that in another thread), but right now, she had something else at hand. She nodded, approached the nearest bystander, and asked in a completely serious voice:
"Did you just see someone who looked exactly like me pass through here?" she said, gesturing. "Because I think someone might have cloned me for their crazy experiments."
