Jasmine laughed. "I guess it's hard to be unkind to someone so sweet. Sadly, I doubt the warriors will have that problem," she said. She really hoped hte girl would be safe during the war. Trenale was not the place to be when it started.
"I guess you should get going," Jasmine said, "We can't have your animal friends getting stuck in the war." Now she wished Rajah was there. Of course, heprobably scare all the animals and maybe the people, but he was her only animal friend. The animals here were so different from the few kinds she had seen in the desert.
Giselle still wasn’t so sure that Jasmine knew what she was talking about. Soldiers were meant to protect her. Surely they would be kind to her if they were supposed to protect her. Wasn’t that how it worked? At least, that was how Giselle thought it worked. She didn’t think she was wrong about that, but she’d been wrong before, so how was she to know?
Giselle nodded. “You’re probably right. And if I’m going to go to the island then I’ll need to pack quite a bit I would think. But first I’ll have to talk to my animal friends. I’ll have to call them all for a meeting.” She nodded decisively. She had a plan that she felt very comfortable with and a new friend that would also be on the island! It would be wonderful! “It was very nice to meet you,” Giselle said, standing and brushing off her skirt. “I hope we’ll meet again!”
Jasmine couldn't help smiling. "It was wonderful to meet you too. I hope everything goes well for you," she said. It was nice to have met the girl. She hoped they would meet again soon. Hopefully under better circumstances. A war wasn't the best topic of conversation.
Jasmine got up and ran a hand through her hair. She was nearly ready to leave. She was actually kind of excited. All that was left was to visit a last couple places. Then she would get to leave.
