Personality: Bedivere is calm, collected and logical. He has a slight weakness for new scientific theories, although he has such a fondness for old books that often these 'new' theories have already been disproved, but he believes the logic of them ferverently until something else comes along - he once spent a whole week believing the world was banana shaped, because of a particularly well-argued article he read. He's very studious, and often easily distracted by a particularly good book or logical argument, making him appear a little scatter-brained sometimes. His cool and friendly nature, combined with this intellectual streak, often makes him appear weak and unable to fight, but it must not be forgotten that Bedivere is a knight of Camelot, and this makes him stalwart, true, and above all, quite deadly when he puts his mind to it.
Appearance: Bedivere is not the sort of person that makes you think he's attractive at first glance, far more focused on his books and his duties than he is on selling himself, but if you actually consider him, he is rather good looking - slim and muscular, of course, as a knight, but also quite handsome facially.
He favours suits and more formal wear, though he feels uncomfortable in most modern clothing, he likes them best and feels they are more appropriate than some of his more traditional garb.
The most obvious feature of his appearance, however, is his hand - or lack thereof. He doesn't often speak on whether his missing left hand is a birth defect or a casualty of battle, in fact he draws as little attention to it as possible, though he doesn't wear any sort of prosthetic in its place.
History: Bedivere is the son of Duke Corneus, and he and his brother Lucan were raised to serve their king. From a young age they began training to become knights, and Bedivere travelled to court to prove himself and earn his knighthood as soon as he was able.
Though a few years older than Arthur, he always looked up to the young prince - particularly when he began to show his own formidable skill on the battlefield - and so when Arthur was old enough to take command of the Knights of Camelot, Bedivere was one of the first to swear his fealty. (Though he still remains loyal to Uther, as the king, he would be more likely to side with Arthur if forced to choose).
With Arthur gone, Bedivere had, at first, continued his duties just like any other knight of Camelot, but eventually he asked permission to journey to Tintagel and join Arthur at the school, where he could serve the prince - as backup or bodyguard if need be - and possibly, if allowed, help Arthur assess those followers he had amassed and train them to become knights.

TELLtheTALE
Sample Post: "So the Earth is actually flat, how fascinating...." Bedivere murmured to himself, studying the ancient tome in front of him - at least, it looked ancient, it was big and thick and dry and dusty, but to Bedivere, it was new and exciting. Everything was new and exciting when he hadn't read it yet.
He had to share this news with someone, who would be best placed to appreciate this thrilling new discovery... he looked up, suddenly realising that he was staring at a lot of people who would appreciate knowing what he found in that book.
That was when he remembered he had only been looking at the book for a reference, and that he was in the middle of teaching a class, and that the shape of the world actually had nothing at all to do with the subject at hand.
"Ah. Class," he began, but he was interrupted by the sound of the bell that signalled the end of the lesson. "...We'll continue this tomorrow." He finished, over the sound of them all packing their things.
