Giselle was particularly delighted that Cinderella wanted to introduce her to her the friend, the prince. How terribly kind of her. And what a lovely idea too. The more people that knew about Edward, the faster they would find each other and the sooner they could share true love’s fist kiss and get married like they had planned to. And of course she couldn’t forget about the happily ever after part either. That was going to be the very part.
Giselle clapped her hands, thoroughly delighted with this plan. “Oh, that sounds like a very good plan. I do so want to find Edward as soon as he gets here. And I think you are right. The more people that know about him, the sooner we can be together again.” She beamed at her friend. “You are a very kind friend.”
Cinderella waved her hand dismissively, smiling sweetly. "Oh, think nothing of it, isn't it what any friend would do? Why, I'm sure you'd do the same for me if I already knew who my true love was." She said, entirely certain that she was correct.
"I'm not really sure where I might find him... but I'm sure I'll see him again, and in the meantime, well, I shall simply tell everybody about your Edward and we'll find him in no time at all!"
Cinderella was absolutely right. Of course Giselle would do the same if their places had been reversed. “Well of course I would,” she told her, not wanting her to think otherwise. “What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t?” This was a rhetorical question of course, but one that Giselle knew the answer to. She would be a horrible friend. And Giselle tried not to be a horrible friend.
Cinderella was such a dear kind friend. She was offering to let everyone know about her Edward and that was just the nicest thing because Giselle couldn’t tell everyone on her own. “Oh Cinderella, that will be wonderful. And now when Edward comes he’ll be able to find me. Or I’ll be able to find him. We’ll find each other and it will be simply wonderful.”
"Absolutely!" Cinderella agreed delightedly, glad that her plan made her new friend happy, and dizzy with joy at the thought of Giselle getting her happy ever after - it was mostly simply because she found her new friend quite lovely, and thought she deserved her happy ending, but there was at least a part of it that hoped that, if Giselle could find her prince, it would mean that Cinderella could too.
"Oh!" Cinderella gasped, having paused to look at the time during the lull of conversation, and realising that if she didn't go soon, she was going to be late for a class. "I do apologise, I have to go, it's time for class. I hope I see you again!" She told Giselle happily "And I promise to look out for Edward for you!"
Giselle fell silent, thinking about how wonderful it would be to see Edward again. And they could sing together again to their heart’s content. He was her heart’s duet after all. And it would be wonderful to have him back in her life. But for the time being she was quite content here. There were so many things to do here that they didn’t have back in Andalasia. And the people here were just lovely too. She could just tell that this place was a place where dreams came true and happily ever afters happened.
“Oh, class, of course. I wouldn’t want you to be late for class. I should probably be heading off myself.” She hadn’t realized it had gotten so late, but then again, time does fly when you spend it with friends. “Oh, I’m sure we’ll see each other again soon. And thank you! I’ll look for princes to introduce you to!”
Cinderella paused just before rushing off to look back at her new friend with a beaming, grateful smile. "That's so sweet of you! I'm so very glad I've made such a good new friend!" she waved goodbye and hurried away, practically skipping in her excitement over everything that had happened. Why, with people like Giselle and Miguel (oh! Their names rhymed, how funny) around, she was going to find her prince charming and get her happily ever after in no time at all! And, of course, she would help them to find theirs as well!
