Personality: Gerda is a ball of energy, wizzing along and causing terror where ever she spreads. She finds joy in flaunting how improper she is. But the reason for this is not some form of rebellion, well not completely. It also stems from the fact that she thinks much more logical then the world around her. She constantly feels as if she’s standing outside the world screaming “THINK” at it. To stand this level of dissatisfaction with the world around her, she dresses up her logic with goofiness and sarcasm, then adds a love of references to it to make a stunningly unique girl. A girl with trust issues and fear of abandonment, left by an father who left and a unpleased mother. All in all she’s just like every one else, she wants to be heard, and she will scream like a banshee until you listen.
While it is hard to get Gerda to let you be close to her, once you do she is one of the most loyal people in the world. For her best friend she will literally cross nations if you need her too. But along with that comes the knowledge that if you do something stupid that she fines funny she will laugh. She’s one of those friends who laugh when you fall while offering you a hand to help you up. She would never directly do something to hurt you, and she will do what needs to be done to protect you. But even if you get that close to her, you still are to far away from her to get her to talk about her past. One thing is cretin, it will be a long time before she lets you in.
Appearance: Gerda was known for her red hair back in her home village in germany. More specifically she was known for the day she cut her hair into a bob rather than keep it long like the other girls in her village. She was also known for her insistence on wearing pants and never skirts, along with her love of layering tops. All in all she was known for not doing what the other girls did, both in actions and fashion.
Her eyes are a type of olive green and her face has a short of Elfish quality that makes her look different from most people. Her face holds no make up, she sees no need. When and if she wears make up its normally just eye liner and dark eye shadow. Not black eyeshadow, she doesn't’ do the raccoon hooker look. The only thing that she does that isn’t natural is the ever changing strip of color in her hair. Some times its yellow, sometimes blue, sometimes purple. It all depends on her mood when she’s buying the dye.
History:Gerda was born in a small village in germany called Exen during the 1880. While her parents had prayed for a boy to help out on the farm, they were happy with their bundle of joy, at first. Then again at first they had planed for her to be like all other girls her age and to try again for a boy shortly. But after her birth, every time her parents tried would result in a miscarriage. Gerda was their first, and last.
Not only did mother nature defy them, but so did Gerda. She didn’t turn out like the other girls. While other girls like dolls and playing house, Gerda loved mud and dirt. She loved fighting and learning. Her parents tried to put a stop to it, they made her wear dresses and sit still and be a good little girl. Or at least they tried, and they might have succeeded, but Gerda’s father gave up, and left the family when Gerda was only seven. Gerda’s mother took it hard. After that she never really cared what her daughter did. SO Gerda spent most of her childhood with her Friend Kai Klein, who lived with his grand parents.
Gerda and Kai met when she was five and he was six. He saved her from drowning in a creek near the village while she was trying to teach herself how to swim. Since that day the two had been best of friends, Gerda would have risked her life for him. And one day she had to.
The year was 1895, the month was december. Gerda was 15, Kai was 16. It had just snowed and the two of them were heading out to slay, when Kai spotted a large, abnormal slay, with a women with white hair in it. Kai tied his small sled to the women's horse drawn one, ready to catch a ride. Kai didn’t see what Gerda saw as the women turned her head. She had blue skin, and was far to young to have white hair. It was the evil snow queen, but she was just a fairy tale right? But as she thought that, she saw the women smile wickedly, and take off with her friend.
Gerda, with the help of the spirit of the river, a robber girl, and a rain dear, made it to the snow queens palace and stormed it to save her only real friend. She was attacked by the snow queens daemons. But some how, just as they began to strike her, there was a light, and the daemons were gone. All she could remember, was yelling Kai’s name. With her path clear she ran to the throne room, were she found Kai and the snow queen, next to the throne was a mirror. . The Queen offered Gerda something she had always wanted. A home, with a mother who cared about her. The whole time Kai stood there like a statue, because that was what he was. Kai’s heart had been replaced with ice.
In answer to The Queen proposition, Gerda almost said yes. But instead she ran to Kai and tried to get him to wake up. What finally got him to wake up was her tears, which melted his frozen heart. There was a scuffle to get out of the castle in which the mirror got smashed, and a bit of it got in Kai’s eye, but they got out.
Ever since then Kai seemed different, darker. And now Gerda is at Tintagel Academy alone, being sent there by her mother, who cared enough to never want to see her again.
Other: Note: I'm combining a bunch of different versions so that if any one wants to come along and pick up some one like the snow queen or Kai they have a lot of choices. oh and also DREAMS DO COME TRUE!
TELLtheTALE
Sample Post:Slowly Erika lowered her flash light. She didn’t trust her nurse, she really didn’t trust any one. She wondered how much the nurse knew about her. Did he know her dad left? Did he know about her brother? Did he know about her friend? What about her relationship with Jay? There was no way for her to know any of that. Besides weren’t doctors not suppose to tell people about their patients medical history? Well they weren’t suppose to, but that didn’t mean that it never happened. Could she trust any one? Really? How did she know that they weren’t lying to her.
Your doing it again, your being paranoid. Keep this up and you’ll always see those scars on you face. Said a soft voice in her head. Could she help it that she was paranoid? Could she really? Could any one blame her considering what she had been through. Ever since she was a kid, people left. No one cared about Erika, she couldn’t trust any one. Especially men. Men always left. They never stayed. They always turned tail and run when ever anything went wrong. Weather it was a fire causing a death, or a child being born with down syndrome. Men, always, left.
He asked her a question and she had to smirk. Did she know it. She grew up loving music, mainly theater, but other forms of music to. “It’s Chopin right? One of the guys I met in a musical use to play that back stage before a show to get ever one zen. He was obsessed with Chopin, called him the best composer he’d ever heard. It use to get a big argument going in the pit.” She said, before realizing that she had given a lot of information away. She shouldn’t have, but it felt good to talk about the good old days again.
