So I have this idea that formed in my head and I don't know if you'll like it or not but hey. I think it would be great if Kay and Alanna met, and at some point he kissed her and she would be like "how did you know I was a girl?" and he would be like "lol I didn't". So.

Totally cool with Kay kissing Alanna. However, not only is he an experienced crossdresser, but Kay has the world's best gaydar and people-reading skills (except for Levain...he still hasn't figured that one out) and I think he'd be able to tell that Alanna's really a girl. That being said, he's also an excellent troll and would play along with her for awhile, if you'd like.
